The Animal Health Regulation (AHR) is a European regulation. In 2021 the AHR had to be implemented in the member states.

The European Commission are preparing the drafts of delegated acts and implementing acts of the AHR for vote in the European parlement and European Council.  Deadline is 20th of April 2019.

Drafts of delegated acts and implementing acts are still circulating. The NBvH is as a stakeholder in direct contact with the Ministry of Agriculture to be sure regulation will fit the small holders. That depends not on one member state.

Not all Dutch wishes are agreed to.Our main concern is the registration of all locations where birds are kept for shorter of longer term, as is formulated in the draft of a delegated act.

NBvH is partner of the European Livestock Association.
